August 2010 Workshop: “A Free and Painless Neck!”
“A FREE AND PAINLESS NECK!”
Sunday 29 August 2010,
12.30 to 4.30pm
Many people suffer from a stiff and sore neck. This is often caused by us overworking our neck muscles and stressing the neck vertebrae, without realising that we are doing it. This gentle, half-day Feldenkrais workshop will help you discover how to use more of your spine when you move, so that your neck doesn’t have to work so hard.
The lessons will explore how to turn your head effortlessly from side to side, how to easily look up and down, and how to move through the world with a neck that is long, powerful, painless and FREE!
The workshop will be gentle enough for people at any level of fitness and in any amount of pain, so long as you are able to get up and down off the floor. And it will also be complex and subtle enough to keep even the most advanced student or athlete intrigued. When you leave you may experience a state of deep relaxation that you haven’t felt for a very long time…
So why not treat yourself to an afternoon of looking after your mind and body? When you get up off the floor at the end of the day… you will thank yourself!
