October 2009 Workshop: “”A Long Strong Neck - Let The Energy Flow!”
Do you ever have a sore, stiff neck?
Do you tend to get stuck in your head?
“A Long Strong Neck - Let the Energy Flow”
An empowering movement workshop
Saturday 10 October 2009, 1.15 to 6pm
in BRUNSWICK
You will learn how:
–> to get out of your head
–> to have a strong long neck
–> to be supported by your whole spine
–> to let energy flow freely between your base and your crown
There is a strong connection between our physical body and our energetic body. Blockages in one can cause blockages in the other.
In our society, we tend to live in our heads. This has many consequences:
1) We rarely draw on the support of our spine below the neck line. Without this support from below, it is hard work to hold up the weight of our head. This causes us to overuse our neck muscles. Our overworked necks become sore and stiff. Ouch!
2) We think about everything, instead of feeling and sensing. This means we fail to pick up all the information that is at our fingertips. The few things we do feel or sense, we tend to override with logical thought. So we are unable to see the truth of the world around us.
3) All our awareness is above the neck line. We have little awareness of the flows of energy below. We can’t feel the blockages between our base and our crown, so our energy can’t flow freely. This means we have little access to the power in our base.
This gentle, empowering workshop is designed to help you get out of your head. You will learn to feel the support of your entire spine so that your neck muscles do not have to work so hard. And you will learn to sense the flow of energy moving up and down your entire spine.
As a result, you may feel a dramatic reduction in neck pain, a freeing up of stiffness, a sense of real strength and support from your spine, and an awareness of the powerful energy flowing through your body.
You may have tried psychological techniques to get out of your head, physical therapies to ease a sore neck or energetic approaches to free up your energy. But Tahnee is offering something that you have never experienced before.
She will be drawing on the remarkable Feldenkrais Method to work at a profound level with your neurological patterns of body movement. She will also be drawing on her knowledge of how body patterns, behavioural patterns and energetic patterns are interlinked. This will provide you with a unique and profound afternoon of learning, growing and shifting.
By coming to this workshop you will be treating yourself to an afternoon of:
self-discovery
deep relaxation
energetic breakthroughs
dramatic pain relief
total body freedom
When you leave at the end of the day, you won’t recognise yourself!
The workshop will be aimed at beginners to Feldenkrais, but it will include movement sequences sophisticated enough for experienced students.
I will be limiting this workshop to 30 people.
